Adverse events (December 2009)
I am interested in getting in contact with people who have experience or interest in patients reporting of adverse events and follow-up on patients who have experienced adverse events (open disclosure etc).  The Danish Cancer Society has in December 2008 made it possible for patients and relatives to report adverse events experienced during cancer treatment. Data from 114 reports received during the first 10 months show that patients are capable to describe adverse events and the context in which they occur. Patients reporting are considered a valuable contribution for improvement of patient safety.

Next step will be focused on follow-up for patients who have experienced adverse events.”
